🌍 Earth Week:

Love Your Planet • Love Your Beach

April 22–24, 2026

The Arts Council will launch the season with Earth Week, a multi-day celebration uniting creativity, sustainability, and community.

All Earth Week workshops are free, family-oriented, and open to the public, with programming designed to be accessible, hands-on, and inspiring for all ages.

Earth Week highlights include:

  • Free upcycled art workshops led by local artists

  • Educational and creative programs hosted at the Long Beach Public Library

  • Pop-up art exhibits and community activations throughout the city
    A multi-day celebration of creativity, sustainability, and community.
    Expect upcycled art workshops, library programs, artist exhibits across Long Beach, and a community arts fundraiserbringing people together around environmental action and the arts.

🌿 Earth Week Fundraiser Celebration

April 24, 2026

Earth Week will culminate in a special community fundraiser evening at Bright Eye Beer featuring:

  • Live jams by beloved Long Beach musicians

  • A community live art workshop led by local artist Jonathan Willard

  • An upcycled pop-up shop with crafter Tara Miner

  • A Flower Bar powered by Buunch

  • Farm-to-table bites and non-alcoholic beverages

🎵 PorchFest Long Beach 2026

Saturday, May 16, 2026

Following the tremendous success of last year’s PorchFest—featured by News 12 and the Long Beach Herald—the beloved neighborhood music festival returns even bigger in 2026.

PorchFest transforms local porches into stages, celebrating local musicians and the unique spirit of Long Beach.

2026 highlights include:

  • A kickoff celebration at the Long Beach Public Library

  • A grand finale at Kennedy Plaza

  • A surprise headlining band

  • Farmers market vendors, food, and family-friendly activities throughout the day

🎭 MUCH ABOUT NOTHING

June 28, 2026 (Afternoon Performance)

The Arts Council is delighted to present Much About Nothing, an afternoon theatrical performance by East Line Theater, hosted at the Long Beach Public Library. The performance continues the Council’s commitment to accessible live theater and literary arts for the community.
