Our Mission

The Long Beach Arts Council (LBAC) is the official cultural nonprofit of the City of Long Beach, serving as a catalyst for arts, culture and creative community across the barrier island. Through public art, artist opportunities, cultural programming, and community partnerships, we make art experiences accessible to all in public spaces and neighborhoods. Through our partnerships with local businesses, residents, schools, and cultural organizations, we are defining Long Beach not only as a beach community, but as a cultural destination where art and culture are a part of everyday life.

Our Board

Comprised of Long Beach residents who volunteer time and resources in support of bringing art and culture to life throughout the city all year, including Porch Fest, Earth Week programming, public art projects, and theatrical performances.
